simple thoughts are more challenging - a Gogyohka

                                                                                  Artist: Albert Anker (1831–1910)

simple thoughts
are more challenging
as creating them
will draw on more
thinking endeavors

after writing a long
letter a sage once
apologized for having
no time
to write a short one

Gogyohka simply means a verse written
in five lines,.The idea is to take the traditional
form of Tanka poetry (of 5-7-5-7-7 which
is written in five lines) and liberate its structure
creating a freer form of verse with no
syllabic count limitations

  3. Oh, so much to think about this one. And thus the endeavor shall go on.
    Wise and intellectually stimulating.
