Note: Mesquite Flats Sand Dunes is a fascinating and beautiful
location especially in the morning at sunrise.. The beautiful sunsets, with the
low angle of the sun bringing out color and texture of the dunes, and the
Grapevine Mountains, providing a wonderful backdrop, are only out done by the
even more spectacular and colorful sunrises.Death Valley holds the record for the hottest place on
earth.- Wiki
Pleasant to the eyes
as a painting on canvas
From a distance it looks forgiving and inviting
Reputed to be the hottest place on earth
High fifties
celsius of temperature prevailing
Still it is a visit of choice as a tourist attraction
Always a draw
to experience extreme provocation
Does not help
to alleviate some burning sensations
Nothing to panic
for it is a normal reaction
Grapevine Mountains, imposing in the distance
A picturesque spectacle of nature’s beauty
Sweet talk of
its grandeur a normal occurrence
To outperform
the snag against reality
Sand dunes of a thousand patterns on the ground
With capture during sunsets of its attractive texture
Supporting colorful sunrises in spectacular fashion
Never a desolate place is expected to offer
Have to wipe the sweat from my brow hot place and your words took me there. Very descriptive poem.

ReplyDeleteI find the art of the sand as you describe it much more of a draw thsn the heat.
the dunes are def pretty from a distance...a bit more dangerous when you are among them...the wind turns them into deadly art....
ReplyDeleteThinking that everything has its purpose...the hottest place is snag for humans for sure while beautiful at the distance.
