Slimy but not a crook

Slow darting ‘feelers’
leaving silvery  trails and
yummy with frog  legs

Outer shells extend
protection but just for birds
known to gobble whole

Slimy but not a 
crook while soft and fleshy but
neither is sexy

    Very well described but I wouldn't eat with frogs legs, come to that I wouldn't eat frogs leg either.
