Pebble Beach Golf Links is a golf course on the
west
coast of the United States, located in Pebble
Beach, California. Widely
regarded as one of the
most beautiful courses in the world, it hugs the
rugged
coastline and has wide open views of
Carmel Bay, opening to the Pacific Ocean
on
the south side of the Monterey Peninsula - Wiki

Up-Swing (the club is parallel to the ground
at the top of the swing)
First public course to be selected in 2001
As the #1 Golf course in America by Golf Digest
Hosted six majors, a PGA and five US Opens
Plus the 2019 US Open is on the cards
The 2000 US Open where Tiger was the Champ
For the total of
272 one to be remembered
Was a massive 15 strokes difference
Chalked up by Tiger to the first runner-up
Pebble Beach appears non-obtrusive not disturbing
But current objections against further development
Where enhancing its golf interests was found wanting
I like your unique take on the prompt, Hank. I have never seen Pebble Beach, but I have a friend whose son caddies there & has carried the clubs of many rich and famous!
ReplyDeleteIt is a special course. The Green Fees apparently is one of the highest!

ReplyDeletemuch love...
This was so interesting to read, loved the pic. Wel done a good write.
ReplyDeletea information for me,, interesting!
ReplyDeleteThat is one course I have heard of, heard it is where all the rich go
ReplyDeleteOne of the best in the world
ReplyDeleteThat is indeed a beautiful section of the California coastline. I too thought of Pebble Beach when looking at this prompt. There must be a pebbled section there someplace but I have only found the sandy parts. Thinking more of the town than the golf course--which I think is quite a distance away. Happy golfing to you and your son.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peggy! Apparently there were certain sections with pebbles. Not sure if this is true.

it was pretty amazing the difference between him and the next competitor...somedays are just your day you know...when you can do no wrong...
ReplyDeleteA spectacular location for a game of golf
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing view of the prompt, truly inspired.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the prompt. A great place to play I am sure if you are a golfer.
ReplyDeleteHank,
ReplyDeleteI immediately recognised that magnificent place, Pebble Beach. I love that area of California, and The Seventeen Mile Drive experience. I have been lucky enough to have been there about four times and to have enjoyed the lunch experience on the balcony, overlooking The Green..A great poetic tribute..

How lucky you are Eileen. Must have been wonderful trips. Apparently the 17 mile stretch is full of excitement and fantastic sceneries. Thanks Ma'am!

a nice piece Hank :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting take on the prompt, Hank. I have a number of golfers in my life who would think they had died and gone to heaven if they had the opportunity to play on such a course.
ReplyDeletedifferent take, learnt about a new place

Lovely photos and you must be so proud of your son, Hank! I've never played golf!
