Trees kept wondering
Saplings outside the warehouse
Full grown since stood tall
Crowds streamed endlessly
in but emptiness at dusk
Misty in the dark
Accentuating
suspicions were crates moved in
in stealth of late nights
Note: Was on the road. This was meant for the preceding Haiku Heights ( trees) and d'Verse ( photos) Had it adjusted for these later submissions. Will catch up with comments of those on my recent postings shortly. (apologies!)

interesting....nice personification of the trees....and their ponderings at the going ons of us humans....i imagine they think us a menace in many ways...
ReplyDelete'Misty in the dark', good line, very well crafted haiku. Love the way you have intwined several prompts of different memes in this set of haiku. Thank you for sharing with Carpe Diem.
ReplyDeleteThe trees come to life
ReplyDeleteAs we caused them strife
Turning them into works
Must think we are jerks
Nice, Hank...lovely haiku. :)
ReplyDeleteVery well written, the three of them, powerful and touching. Ah, if trees could speak...
ReplyDelete:)
I like them all.
ReplyDeleteA good take on trees .... lovely :-)
ReplyDeleteAn excellent trio.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. You have created a poem with atmosphere here, Hank!
ReplyDeletequite an interesting trio....cool imagery
ReplyDeleteLovely poetry.
ReplyDeleteI love the fog that hovers over your haikus. It gives them an eerie edge of suspicion on the dark, misty docks where we know questionable deals go down. I am reminded of James Cagney and Humphrey Bogart here. Great work, Hank. =D
ReplyDeleteI personify trees in my head all the time. That was my favorite haiku, but all were nice.
ReplyDelete=)
Holidaying? Have a pleasant trip. Been reading your works quietly of late. Thought of saying 'hi' today.. Your haiku today has that indie-touch I think brilliant, love your set! – ♥
ReplyDeleteYes, the trees steal the show here, I think. Excellent work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Hank, tour words serve to accentuate my own inner mistiness !
ReplyDeleteI'd say you aced it too. Lovely Haiku!
