Image:1 My quickie pencil sketch done this morning. In portraits, likeness is often frustrating. Can you recognize the writer? I may have to do another one!
Leader of the pack
Helmed d’Verse with a great team
Remembered too well
A little announcement
Made it known no more blogging
Shocked for a moment
Was greatly relieved
When Waystation One remained
Next d’Verse was born
Now they are vying
To be the first to comment
When you are the first
Music to the ears
But the Cat gleefully taunts
When he gets being first
Say,something’s brewing
Watch it Logan is coming
Chip of the old blog
Fine wine brings good cheer
Two zero twelve a good year
Enhanced all the fun
Submitted for Haiku Heights prompt 'Music' no.105
A nice sketch..I knew who it was without even your words ~
ReplyDeleteI am sure he will be happy with this ~
Nice music haiku...I am participating in the Haiku Challenge in my other blog.

Great likeness ~~
ReplyDeleteNice informative post - many of the bloggers participating can relate ~~ I like the way you weaved "music" in there! Clever!!
Thanks becca! Tell you a secret. I had earlier drafted the posting with a different first line of the particular haiku. I later amended it to include the word 'music' to suit the prompt. It was clever of you to detect it!

ReplyDeleteWow... An amazing likeness. I knew who it was too without needing the words.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous way of tribute to a fabulous guy. He is truly making a difference in so many ways to so many lives. I'm sure he will be deeply touched and knowing him, embarrassed but so thrilled to have this made for him Hank. It's lovely.

ReplyDeleteThe original is for you, Sir! I feel most honored. My only regret it was a quickie job that it could have been touched up better. You may have to extend your addy.

ReplyDeleteGreat sketch, Hank. I recognized it as Brian, too. Now don't you dare do one of me, unless I send you a photo of what I looked like 25 years ago.
