Hank's: one of nature's scenic secrets
ago. We went inland and it left a lasting memory
of the beauty of nature much undisturbed
This is not about a body of water but rather in the
upper reaches of one of the many rivers we came across
Serene and unblemished undisturbed, untouched
A fervent hope of being discovered in its natural state
Feigning a virgin in all of its modesty
Hidden from marauders in stony silence
Only a cool breeze to keep it company
Or pebbles-laden river blissfully gleaming
Sensuously flowing in the upper reaches
Virtually untouched and not a soul in sight
Uncharitable to likely intruders, undeterred
Perceived home of spirits mysteriously felt
But meagre in all others menacingly quiet
Distraught and neglected only ripples gurgling
In the morning sun and perhaps an occasional deluge

Water Water Everywhere
Ah, how wonderful to discover such upper reaches of a river, 'Virtually untouched.' From your words and image I can imagine it well – the next best thing to seeing it in person. Thank you, Hank.
