Image: Happiness (here)Small victories, how very sweet,
Moments of triumph how very neat,
A smile, a laugh, a gentle sigh,
A nice feeling that we cannot deny.
It may be a day without any pain,
Or a task anticipated with lots of gain
A hug from a friend, a kind word,
The sound of a song from a singing bird.
It's the little things that make life great,
The moments we do not regret
A hand to hold, a loving kiss,
The joy of such an innocent bliss.
Small victories, they come and go,
But they fill our hearts with a special glow,
They remind us that life is worth the flight
To experience happiness is within our right

Very nice with lots of feel good factors. We have a right to be happy even if the Victories are small. And the small ones make for bigger ones.
ReplyDeleteOh, lovely. You are quite right: the small victories are to be celebrated.
ReplyDeleteThose examples in the second verse - can relate entirely to them all!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the sweet, small joys in my life. These delicious bits add so much to my world.
ReplyDeleteHank, Rommy said it beautifully .... your poem is incredibly sweet and made my day.
ReplyDeleteLittle things mean a lot. (Though some of these sound more like comforts than like victories...comforts are also very nice!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
