Image: Yellow daffodils (here)Yellowness, being all yellowness,
A shade that brings such happiness,
It's bright and warm, like the sun above,
And brings to bear a feeling of love.
Golden fields of wheat and grain,
Swaying gently in the summer rain,
Dandelions dancing in the breeze,
Yellow petals a sight to please.
The autumn leaves, so crisp and bright,
Their yellow hues a gorgeous sight,
As they fall gently to the ground,
A blanket of yellow all abound.
There's daffodils with colours so bold,
A sight to cherish, a story to be told,
It brings us joy, it brings us light,
A hue so pure, so warm, so bright

Such a sweet poem, I really loved that line with Summer Rain.
ReplyDeleteVery nice use of a rhyme scheme. I'm always impressed when there's no straining, it just feels very natural. And yellow! Yes!
