Showers of blessings
Confined indoors, high spirits
despite wet Christmas

Faithfuls of all creeds
Gathered at 'Open Houses'
Rejoiced together

    1. Thank you Brian. Merry Christmas to you too! Over here, we've had 'Open House' fare where anyone can just drop in and mingle. As such a wet Christmas was not an obstacle. However, there were low-lying areas inundated with floods!

  4. A little snow here, was quite nice, but any other day I'd take rain.

  5. Yes, it is the getting together that makes it special, Hank! You have the idea 100% right. Hope you had a good day, my friend.

  7. "Showers of blessings
    Confined indoors"

It's all in the perspective, is it not?

  8. "Open Houses" of all faiths == nice image.
And open houses of all non-faiths too, I am sure.
I think it is 80% of Europe and 20% of USA consider themselves religion-free.
    How many in your country?
When each can consider themselves no more special, privileged or loved than the others, then we really will have "Open Houses" -- Now that will be a Holiday to celebrate.

    1. If by religion-free you mean atheists and animists then ours should be a very much smaller %. Invariably everyone will have some form of religion. I can't venture out to seek an absolute % though. Perhaps 0.5% out of a population of 28.8 mil people in 2011. This is merely a guess.

  10. Had a sprinkling of snow on Christmas morning just to make the perfect outside tableaux. Great to see these verses, in celebration.

  11. I love the reference to "faithful of all creeds." And why shouldn't we all share the joy of one another's festivities?
