Awakening is
realization of what is
strong and what is weak
Lacking in strength
can be overcome but
not lack of resolve
It needs passion to
push and build the sheer make up
of Man under siege

lots of truth in that middle verse....what you lack in strength can def be handled by resolve...
ReplyDeleteResolved! Lol. Nice post. Triumph, even :-)
ReplyDeleteAloha
Resolve can turn into strength too, if determined enough at your zoo
ReplyDeleteman under siege...i just like that line so much
ReplyDeleteCan totally relate. Lack of strength can be overcome with some focus and determination. A lack of resolve is a bigger challenge. It can take years off one's life if one is not careful or perhaps unfortunate with too many distractions. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI needed this... i love it Pare!

So true, Hank... we can't go it alone though.
ReplyDeleteresolve and passion can change the world
ReplyDeleteLack of resolve ... the end.
ReplyDeleteI especially like "man under siege". As we appear to be, in so many places in the world these days.
ReplyDeleteSuch an excellent metaphor this tulip has become!
ReplyDeleteThat second verse is a strong message...beautiful piece!
ReplyDeletePassion and commitment can find ways to overcome lack of strength, but you are right that strength can hardly hold if there is weakness of spirit..
ReplyDeleteSecond stanza is a killer! Nice.
ReplyDeleteI love this poem!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful verse..
