(graphite street art ) (here)
10 of 12 given words:
obscure whisper solicit lurid
calyx (a whorl that encloses the petals and forms a protective layer around a flower)
espionage glisten box-cutter suede-gloves
dilettante (a person who cultivates an area of interest, without real commitment or knowledge)
obscured whispers were now ignored
rumors were of no consequence anymore
it did not solicit a response
unlike before but now with social media
available it had gone viral
it found expression occasionally
in lurid details often in calyx images
that glistened in the evening sun
it made child-play of espionage
hide and seek as it was all in the open
on maintaining peace even with a
box-cutter protected in suede gloves
was no protection
the graffiti artists would eventually
triumph with their own brand of humor
MLMM's Wordle #178
Lillian's at d'Verse's - street view
I like the artists own brand.
ReplyDeleteGraffiti is def a form of political dissonance especially in cultures where freedom of expression is stifled. And as much as those in power can control ...social media and graffiti can find a way to getit out.
ReplyDeleteA voice will find a way to be heard, via graffiti or social media. You always do so well with the words Hank and we used the same artwork:)

ReplyDeleteI love the way you wrap your words. Social media is now the grafitti artist's canvas.
ReplyDeleteI liked how the graffiti artists will triumph with humor.
ReplyDeleteAh....social media gone viral....I always think of "virus" when I see the word viral. And in some ways, I believe social media is a virus....taking root and supplanting other means of face-to-face communication. Street art --- folks taking photos of in-your-face-on-the-wall-real-concrete-in-a/one-place art, making it go viral...giving voice to what was once in one place. The artist revealed far beyond the canvas/wall.
ReplyDeleteAn apt response...for our times... well-said!!
ReplyDeleteI think that social media and graffiti can definitely make an impression... just think of Banksy
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the artist will eventuality triumph with their own brand of humor ~
ReplyDeleteCan always ring on through with what they show in view
