ReplyDeleteStrange how in the physical world, people dread fear! And yet in the "TV" world, fear can be mesmerising! An adrenalin rush!

ReplyDeleteWe all love to be scared - as long as there's no real danger.
ReplyDeleteSo that's where that picture came from! It is a bit disturbing, as are many of the horror films I cannot watch....
ReplyDeleteUnique take on 'trend' in what interests people today ~ well done ~thanks, namaste, (A Creative Harbor)
ReplyDeleteyes.horror films do have their crazy followers.
ReplyDeleteLOL yes, they do have their followers. Chloe(16) loves being scared out of her wits, as long as someone else is there for her to grab a hold of... haha
ReplyDeleteI love a good horror movie!
ReplyDeleteI can watch those kinds of movies for hours---and I am constantly talking to the characters--"Don't go down there, you idiot!" Your lines tell the tale, Hank.
ReplyDeleteI cannot watch these, but I can listen to a friend tell me the entire movie in frame by frame detail without moving from my seat and I am rarely silent! I love art, I am the perpetually gullible viewer, and these movies work on me. So, you posed the argument--but I notice you give few details. Do you watch?
ReplyDeleteI liked the horror genre better when I was younger I think. :) I still like a good horror story, but I don't like to watch those with gory stuff now.
ReplyDeleteThey do have their fanbase...though I am not a fan though ~
ReplyDeleteI used to like horror movies, but I guess age has tamed me.
ReplyDeleteI was one of those die hards until I had kids!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter (16) loves watching them with her friends. I'll have to ask her about this one
ReplyDeleteMe--I was terrified of cartoons as a child.
I do not like horror movies, Hank, but I like your poem!
ReplyDeleteK

ReplyDeleteLeo
