blessed be a home ideally
happy and peaceful raising
a family pandering to success
tacitly devoid of carnage

modern living with added
pressure would impinge on the
matriarch who works without pay
her domain in the kitchen
organised but her services
taken for granted

  1. Christine here Hank. I enjoyed your quadrille. I can definitely relate and agree the pay is awful.

  3. Ah yes indeed. I learned very early on to ask a woman this question, "Do you work outside the home?" In other words, I know you work inside the home....and that is definitely work. Do you also add to that work by working outside the home?

  5. Hank, keeping a house a home takes an extreme amount of work and dedication. I admire anyone that commits to the mission. You're right, modern peer pressures to remove that beloved place makes it even more challenging.
