'Love thy neighbor' no more alive

the 12 given Wordle words:
blocks alley clues insight permit style
shift siren shoot lights tracks live

Note: It is such a joy looking at
all the greenery reflecting on your
green fingers, Carrie. Hank's take
here is entirely fiction just borrowing
one of your wonderful pictures to
spice it up. Apologies, not one
from Hank's own garden

Two blocks away by the alley
No clues apparent on its origin
But was creating curiosity daily
Mysterious occupants not seen

An insight into their interests
Permitted clues to their style
The balcony provided the first
Colors and greenery were high

There was a shift in the order
Sirens blaring in the dead of night
A shootout suddenly did occur
Powerful lights were shone bright

It was just not easy to keep track
Of how neighbors live their life
Even basic information we lack
'Love thy neighbor' no more alive

  1. That is a beautiful balcony. The sudden shootout is a shock. But that is the world we live in these days. Nice to read you, Hank.

  2. Somebody is definitely alive there - that's a lot of plants to water.

  3. Many keep to themselves and you never know about them until something bad happens.

  4. I do love how a bit of green (or a lot of precious green) can change the mood of an entire street. There is something about seeing the growth of life, which reminds us that we are still breathing (and that is good).

    2. Is that right? So sorry for the mistake, Toni! Now duly corrected

  5. You never know the kind of green it is... maybe it's all weed of the weedy kind.

Nice to see you posting again!

  7. No, we often don't know much about our neighbors these days unlike when I was growing up and just about everyone knew everybody else. Even so, there could be some sinister things happening even back then... Nice use of the words, Hank!

  8. Hank,
I guess that the changes to living these days, may have pretty much removed any close neighbourly bonds...

I have returned again Hank, after a long absence!
