Foreign Fields of Poppies

in a foreign field
the wind still invokes their names
the blood red poppies     -   JRB's

pretty to look at but such
devastation on young lives  -  Hank's


in a foreign field

pittance for peasants but drug
barons get to keep the spoils  -   Hank's
