lost times devoid of a fragrance
when feelings evaporated to dust
was there a way to enhance
in as much as to make things last

love neglected would react
energy waned in unsettled bids
buoyed in situations of neglect
far from an ability to succeed

there was a fighting chance
that love could be unduly recalled
it spoke of light in the gardens
but its apparent strengths had stalled

young lovers had better learn
light shone bright in the beginning
sincerity and trust had to be earned
not taken for granted nett of feelings
