Confinement by Choice

Who says a quiet life
Solitary figure manning the gate
Lonely yes, no vice
But made the grade!

Confinement by choice
Once awhile a biggie wave
Provocative testing the resolve
No big deal perhaps a little dazed

Imagined one is pacified
Seagulls, wayward birds make pit stops
Life of deprivation outright
A trivia but an upshot

Longings for a companion
Devoid of a form
But steadfast and strong
Protection of Providence
