Never one to pass off an opportunity
He pursued with serious abandon
Despite a slow uptake a duty
To his being he reckoned

Would it be right
Derelict on ideas
But a thinking so bright
He thought not to apologize

But to no avail
Relentlessly pursuing
Lest he failed
To medicate his ego knowing

Fully well
To slow down
A groundswell
of affairs so profound

would be inviting
a disaster
but  he continued
despite signs of impending failure

Written for 3WW with words derelict, apologize and medicate

  4. I've met a few medicated egos in my day. Not a very good idea.
