Beauty of sparkling
desert living, a Spartan
way of existence
Listening intently yet
Unfazed of the searing  heat

Note: Kristjaan provided a music video as prompt with music by Karunesh
that has a Middle Eastern touch

Written a tanka for Chev's CARPE DIEM #245 with prompt - listening

  4. I am not such a good Tanka writer, this tanka is wonderful and I am glad that you were inspired by the music of Karunesh. In August his music will deliver the prompts.

  7. I know it was lovely photography in the video but I closed my eyes when the snake appeared...in the beginning. Hence my close-eyed haiku. lol Beautiful desert scenes and exotic music. Reminded me of the movie Koyaanisqatsi. Probably ancient to the younguns. ;-O
