The Fro-yo Re-emergence
Has a lot going for it
A $ one billion dollar industry
Fro-yo is here to stay

Puts class into a first-date treat
Exudes semblance in young hearts of romantics
Makes ice-cream look so ordinary
Compounded with being food so healthy

Frozen yogurt is taking over the world!
It comes with exotic names
And a wide selection of toppings
Targeting the young
and ardent weight watchers
Employing twitter and FB
To zero in easily to its locations

The re-emergence echoes
a previous boom
that started in the 1980s
It was hugely popular by the mid 1990s
But sometime later consumers declined,
and the product vanished without a sigh

But the re-emergence has a life of its own
Frozen yogurt shops have been springing up
throughout midtown and downtown Manhattan
This healthy trend finally made its way uptown
with Chill Berry in Harlem

And  the same can be said of Berry Chill
which sought Chapter 11 protection
but are now bouncing back with its Culture
mobile trucks in Chicago district found
at many different locations

The big names of frozen yogurt chains
Yogurtland Menchies Red Mangoes
TCBY Pink Berry Orange Leaf among others
are all cashing in on the game

  8. I guess there are quite a few. I really never think about eating at them. I buy my ice cream from the freezer case. I'm so pedestrian.

  9. I see these all over the place but I seem to like regular ice cream a lot better. Although after reading this maybe sometime I when I see a frozen yogurt place I might make a point to actually stop by one and buy some.

Thanks for sharing this with us for this weeks Theme Thursday. Hope you have a week filled with lots of chills and cool weather.

    God bless.
