Seed Pods and Seed Casings

Flowers and seed pods go together
Colorful and perfumed on one account
And pushing for dispersion for the other
Progeny issues resolved for the longer term

Seed pods are invariably simple in appearance
Most are multiples and easily carried in person
Convenience in extending its continued presence
To bless and accentuate the green environment

But not all subscribe to the norm of nature
Grotesque look of the snapdragon somehow excels
Creating a morbid appearance as a signature
That unwittingly attracts rather than repel

  4. Great metaphor - much in life that seems ghastly at the same time is attractive and even beautiful. Lovely poem, simple, straightforward and disarming.

  5. They true look funny, not scary for me. Just check all other colorful representatives of the 'львиный зев'. I like them. But you right: ugly can be attractive. ~ Nice on the prompt. :)
