Great Expectations!
What the dickens, what is the
wish for the New Year?

Abundance of food
for the world’s hunger and no
more missing children

Mankind is pleading
to search the conscience and no
more drones incursions

Finality of
the elusive peace and no
more calamities

For Leo's Haiku Heights #315 - expectations shared
with Poets United's Poetry Pantry #182

  19. I don't know Hank, I struggle with the realization that when the bad dissappears that's when you lose the good. If you follow that to its ultimate conclusion, life ceases without the presence of opposites. There can be no peace without conflict . . . so does that mean that the more we try for peace, the more the universe dishes out conflict?

    1. You may have a point there SP! Paradoxically it works the opposite way when one tries too hard. Is it a natural reaction that works by itself to maintain a semblance of balance to cushion the impact. It is a strange phenomena that pulls back to ensure matters may not be beyond damage control. Maybe so, thanks SP!
