What does the future
foretell. Good fortune and one
that is elusive?

Or of bad omens
'beware of  the ides of March'
Something sinister!

Or of Caesar’s shock
'et tu brute!' Tragedy
in front of his eyes

  8. Fortunetelling can only be known in retrospect. An ironic twist of fate. Is the haiku merging something new? I have seen it before but didn't know what to make of it. Interesting expression of thought.
