Friends

When friends huddle
together for warmth
and security a torrid
love affair may well be
building up unwittingly
without each realizing it

Grandma provided the picture prompt inviting a Micro Fiction of not exceeding 140 characters
and a word 'torrid' as an option to include within.

  1. Heehee. Love this, but "torrid"? Are you sure? I wonder what would constitute torrid for the pair of them...

  2. I could do with a bit of torrid, too.

  3. So very true. sometimes torrid is good.

  4. The blue-eyed one seems to be saying "here, let me fix your cowlick, hold still" -- the cuteness just contradicts "torrid", but alone the poem/ufiction stands well.

Torrid is meant for others generally when they find themselves extending their love for each other

  13. You and I were thinking along the same lines this week, re: torrid love affair. Touchy-feeliness can lead to such affairs of the heart. Good one!

A lot can develop from an encounter and a relationship - short or otherwise.

  20. Perhaps a bit young for a love affair right now, but many childhood playmates find romance together in later years. I like it.
