Stoned

A bundle of heap
He laid still in a stupor
Oblivious of stares

Had one too many
Stoned after a boy’s night out
He rested awhile

The bench was god-sent
The crowd milled around, to them
He was a homeless

  5. Sorry for these people KAY-
I Saw them in New York in the 70s with their bed underneath the outlet of the air conditioning wrapped up in a blanket. And I had an hotel room above and had to move out next morning and do my job. How do we describe this experience so people understand ?

  11. I see him daily. Some days he sleeps on the ground close to the manhole emitting steam.
