Human Failures

The devil may care
Sworn since the dawn of times to
Lead humans astray

The devil in you
Succumb to base instincts on
its instigation

The angel in us
As elusive as diamonds
Dropping from the sky

Devils unchained and
Angels shackled are the cause
Of human failures

    1. So it has been said
      Need not have to wait
      When one gets swayed
      Akin to being waylaid

    1. I know 'cry wolf' of the shepherd boy fame but not the two wolves. Wonder what is it, Brian!

  6. Angels laugh at 'chains' and devils are ever on a true leash of sorts, but our free will remains the fulcrum!

  7. Strong haiku series Hank. Only true unconditional love can conquer the devil, but to reach for 'the Crown' we need to pass him (the devil). As we have conquered the devil the way to spiritual strength lays open in front of us.
