Welcoming the cold

                                                                                           Attribution: Des Colhoun
Image: The first frost will nip the leaf
from the tree and upon decay will provide
nourishment on the ground. (here)

Sunny brightness to
hues of gold and rusty brown
for the months ahead

Welcoming the cold
Swathes of decaying leaves form
carpets on the ground

Nature’s way to force
nutrition for next round of
fresh colors of Spring
