pursued by city folks

rustic abode
unspoiled hideaway
remote dream-like
pursued by city folks
idyllic tranquility

golden brown
season's exotic shades
swept by cool winds

rustic (adj. relating to, or living in the country, rural)

Note: a tanka and haiku in experimental micro-poetry
(not restricted by the conventional syllabic count of tanka's
5-7-5-7-7 or haiku's 5-7-5)

  1. I like the way you've separated the 'unspoiled hideaway' in the tanka from the 'season's exotic shades' in the haiku, but connected them with 'swept by cool winds' in the final line.

  2. I think the last line of the tanka "idyllic tranquility" meanders nicely into the haiku for one mood, one poem. Read as tanka and haiku separately quite nice also
