Outright purpose with freedom to choose
Pairing convenience is given a boost
Some movements of overhead flights
Set in motion at accepted heights

Directions were set never straying
Flying behavior naturally by instinct

V-formation arrow-head pointed
Birding migration of seasons expected
Follow the leader and never doubted

  3. I like the cadence of this very much. Almost like the rhythm of wings in sync.

  5. Yes, for geese it's better to follow than to be free... maybe something to learn from.

  7. I am always amazed when watching them gather in formation. I guess there is freedom in flight. I read somewhere it is better for them to stay in flocks.

  8. Wonderful writing, and you bring one of my favorite thoughts to mind, for people driving on freeways, if only they could learn to drive like birds fly in a v, such order and it would be less accidents!
