the 12  given words:
long look writing see you tell flat think
enormous, drawing elsewhere jacket

time to take a long hard look
the writing is right on the wall
some may see it as a fluke
but you can tell they're having a ball

flat out it attracts enormous
drawing power but elsewhere
a shade of someone famous
to think it looks all like a dare

reunions of strange bedfellows
in evening dress or leather jackets
or whatever that they can show
trying to look like young starlets

Susan's at PU's Midweek Motif  -  reunions

  1. Hmm. I feel that you've taken me to a masked ball--all dressed the way we want others to see us after long partings.

  2. I like the line about everyone trying to look like young starlets. With everyone posting online, I see young ones playing to their facebook audience. Everyone wants to be seen. Smiles.

  3. Try as they might, back to the norm at the end of the night.

  4. Ah, so many try to look like young starlets, don't they!

  5. In someone's eyes, aren't they stars and starlets?

  6. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, I found it amazing you started with "time to take a long hard look" and concluded with "trying to look like young starlets" Well composed.

  7. "reunions of strange bedfellows"...Hmmm...

  8. Many starlet wannabe's out there! This felt like a fancy dress ball, with everyone showing off their finery. Good one, Hank!

  9. Starlets abound, but that's an empty life. Always playing a part...

  10. Would-be starlets, often shallow, little beneath the leather jackets and ball gowns!
