brazenly rising to the occasion

                                                                                                                                     Author: Jon Sullivan

sign of the upcoming winter (here)

Note: Non-Rhythmic tanka
of a 5-7-5-7-7 syllable count

Dew frost plays its part
Tenaciously hugging them
ever so lightly
Purportedly happy to
welcome the cold months ahead

The foliage likewise
brazenly rising to the
occasion as a
willing partner dancing to
nature's choice of soft music
