Eccentric

Tim Burton’s great makes
Eccentric and a genius
Born of unusuals

Dreamt myriads of dreams
Likened to Mendusa’s hair
Faces but sans snakes

Way out from others
Where some alien happenings
Make for surprises

Note: We are to write on Tim Burton or works relating to him. A fitting description of Tim is quoted from TTT - 'an artist, animator,a poet,a director and more...I think the word eccentric describes him best'.

Written for TTT for their 100th prompt - Eccentric and d'Verse 'Where in The World' alien based

  3. If anyone could do alien worlds, it is Tim Burton. Nicely done, I think he and Ray Bradbury would have made some interesting sci fi together!

  7. Tim is a bit alien, isn't he? :) And his works often live at that edge where the alien and weird break in upon normal, everyday lives. I love his film, Beetlejuice, as well as his take on Sleepy Hollow!

  9. Yeah he is a bit out there and eccentric would be the word to use, even though a lot of his stuff seems to be the same thing over and over again now a days.

  12. Eccentric people are very often geniuses, and vice versa.........anyone interested in aliens should watch the film The Fourth Kind - showing actual FILM FOOTAGE of alien abductions. Extremely freaky. But fascinating.

  18. A little weirdness goes a long way, and in Burton's case it's led right off the deep end...must be why I like him so much! Very nice take on the prompt :)
