F for Fritter Away in the Quest to be Healthy

Anorexia nervosa, an eating disorder
characterized by a fear of gaining weight

the 12 given words:
elbows flute hard farther desert  panting
without,stone waited scene could

3WW given words
haunted intense gloomy

Mysterious show of a fallout
Self-imposed starvation
Intense in its desire to fritter away
Redundant in its existence
Hauntingly a shadow of a previous bubbly self

Why?

Elbows thinned out akin to an old flute
Hard to discern but perhaps to seek refuge
Perhaps sympathy
but plunging down the abyss
Farther afield away in a dry desert reeling
Further down south
Panting in its efforts seemingly gloomy
Without any logical explanation

Pathetic!

Stoned, they waited but for no one
Day noon and night

Pathetic scene indeed!
Was she your sister?
No, but she could be anyone you knew before!

  6. I liked the phrase "fritter away
Redundant in its existence". One needs a middle ground with weight control.
