Blast for the future

Blast for the future
Looking forward to good times
New Year's abundance
Not to dwell on the past but
new horizons to achieve

Silver lining seen
despite depressing window
on current affairs
but global economic
health not anywhere better

For Chev's CARPE DIEM #830  - New Year
(commemorating third anniversary of Carpe
Diem Haiku Kai on Oct 1st and extending  a
'Happy New Year' for the ensuing year) and
