A Virtue

 Patience

Safety discarded
Blatantly disregarded
It turned out tragic

A highway horror
Consequence of impatience
Life lost, mangled heap

Patience a virtue
Sorely missed though by many
And regret pervades

  4. This is so true, when caution is thrown to the winds!!
Today everyone wants things done in an instant, the minute the thought arises, and this alone has led to a lack of patience!!

  5. So true are your words. Nicely said. Patience is need in all things.

  12. patience is not my strongest character trait...but so many bad things could be avoided if we were more patient..

  13. My niece almost died a few years ago in a car accident because someone was in a hurry and not paying attention. This poem is a stark reminder of what could be...
