As both saw palmetto and pumpkin seed extracts benefit prostate health, taking these at the same time may provide synergistic effects. Men who took a combination of saw palmetto and pumpkin seed extracts experienced significant positive effects with no adverse side effects.
But more recent studies however found that saw palmetto was no better at alleviating the symptoms than taking a placebo pill  -  Wiki

  3. Roasted pumpkin seed is so yummy, I'm glad that it may also be beneficial. How prevalent is the problem in older men? Should I be shipping my father and brothers pumpkin seeds?

    1. Susan,
      Wiki has this to say,
" There was an age dependent increase in high grade prostate intraepithelial neoplasia starting from the 4th decade of life. Prostate adenocarcinoma escalated from the 5th decade and thereafter with a 1 in 3 chance of carrying incidental cancer in the 60 to 69-year-old age group and with 46% of 70 to 81-year-old men harboring prostate cancer"
