Santa

Image: Courtesy of Grandma's Goulash

Note:1 Karin aka K, Manicddaily, suggested to write of 'presents or presence' at d'Verse. Can't think of anything better than the presence of old Santa himself - and of his stockings full of presents for boys and girls the world over!

Note:2 I had always thought it was spelled with an 'e' ie 'imposter' as many thought so too! But the dictionary ( The Little Oxford Dictionary) had it with an 'o' ie 'impostor'. I don't suppose the dictionary is a misprint

I'm everybody's point-man
Been that long and loving it
I'm universal, neutral and everywhere
but rarely seen

Beware of impostors
Be warned!

(140 characters)
verified through Design 215 character counter (here)

Grandma challenged us to write a Micro Fiction of 140 characters or
less based on the above picture and to include the word 'neutral'

Written for Karin's hosting at d"Verse, the Poetics of Presents/ce and Grandma's Goulash, Succinctly Yours # 92

  1. Not sure imposters take the warning as many are around, but only one truth with it seems to be found.

  2. Ha ha, yes, many imposters around. One in each shopping mall. I do hear they make pretty good money for their 'impostering' though. Growing that long white beard proves to be worth it for those who can.

  13. The imposter is an impostor!

But Santa continues to live on and on in the world.

  14. When I was a kid, I was always told the "impostors" were 'Santa's helpers,' thus making the Big Guy more special, as you never really saw him in person. Took a few years for me to realize there was a reason for that. ;_) This was lots of fun in just a few characters, Hank--a very happy holiday to you and your family, and thanks so much for all your visits and comments this year.

  15. Impostors abound, do they not? What a fun take on Jolly Old Saint Nick, whom I described to my children as the "Spirit of Giving."
    Happy holidays, Hank!
