they clamor for a quick fix-it

                                                        Artist Aksel Waldemar Johannessen  (1880–1922)
Image: Apples, Morning,
Noon and Night! (here)

they clamor for a quick fix-it
like a junkie for a fix
out of a job
no dough with little food
locked down facing not the wall
but sunken looks of hungry kids
bleeds the heart
when will it end
how will it end?

  10. Very sad. I think the worst off are the ones who didn't have a job in the first place, as there are little prospects with much of the economy closed. Those who were already working are apparently doing well on unemployment insurance, some even making more than they did working. Perhaps this is the imbalance? Just some pondering from my side of the border.
