Ostensibly a claim to fame

The rhyming words given are:
flame frame same claim game blame

The blame game
It is all the same
Faceless but just the frame
Never to reveal a name
Not intended to directly aim
Pointing a finger at a dame
Not wanting to tame
Nor viciously maim

Just a sly cause to defame
To fan the flame of shame

Ostensibly a claim to fame

What then it became
Just an excuse so lame!
A satisfying run to sustain
Not unlike staring into a Great Dane
Fiercely without disdain
Perhaps let it remain
A false alarm without acclaim
None to regret none to explain!

  8. I'm liking your 'aim' and 'ain' rhyming here, Hank. Playing the blame game makes the accuser feel better whether or not the blame gets shifted. It started with Adam and Eve.
