say a prayer for it is a freedom

Z for Zooming Out of Here

the 12 given words:
boys helmet run door splash seeing forgive spiral
glimmering (shining faintly with a wavering light)
moments prayer world

Well boys, put on your helmets
run out of the door with or without a splash
it does not matter for it is a fulfillment

seeing it like it is
for it is a spectacle to see,
to forgive and to let go
let it spiral even if having to shine
under glimmering lights

moments awaited for!

say a prayer for it is a freedom
to seek out the world
zooming out of here
to fulfill the yearnings
it is just overwhelming

no more the restraining order
no more the frustrations
and no more the boring days

no more out of the woods fully yet
but still out of the lockdown in stages
it is exhilarating!

  2. You#re so very right Hank " We're not out of the woods yet"

  3. You made good use of the given words, Hank, and you captured the joys of riding a motorcycle in your poem. These lines remind me of riding at night (I haven’t ridden a motorbike for over 40 years):
‘…it is a spectacle to see,
to forgive and to let go
let it spiral even if having to shine
    under glimmering lights’.
I think just a bicycle or a bus would be enough to give me that thrill at the moment! But, as you say, we're not out of the woods yet.

  6. I for one am glad that in Australia strict control has meant a lowering of Covid patients and that relaxing of the rules will be done very carefully indeed. But I must admit I am bored!

  7. I'm not especially bored, but I long for human touch....a handshake, a pat on the shoulder, a hug … I never realized what a necessity they are! Let's all hope we aren't coming out of the woods too quickly!

  8. AH, we are all yearning for a bit of freedom.....but let's hope that it does not come too quickly, which could bring us all back right where we were before. Nice to see you, Hank! Be safe.

  10. We all long for the freedoms of yesterday but, we must move cautiously or we will find ourselves back inside. I have been moving about slowly taking quiet walks in areas of low traffic. The fresh air and exercise is good for ones mental health.

  11. We are still on a sort of lock down here and must wear masks in public businesses. There is a formula our local government is going by and we've not reached it yet though some counties in our state have had some restrictions lifted.

Stay safe and remain careful. I think it may be quite a while yet before the world returns to what it was. I saw some photos of polluted cities that showed skies that were clear for the first time in ten or twenty years... I wonder how long we can keep things as clean as they have gotten?

    With cheer, Jules
