Regal dominance
Rose,by any other name
Gracious in beauty

Thorny but perfumed
Nature's benevolence, a
protective stance

Myriads of colors
Radiant, undeterred by
vagaries of weather

  4. Have to watch those thorns, get to close and a prick you will get, but watching from nearby, some beauty you will spy.

  8. Nice on the wild rose, Hank. I tried to make a Nebraska wild rose cutting grow here in the Gulf Coast Texas area but it wouldn't take hold. It died.

I like the wild roses because their blooms are pretty but small, pale pink, and really don't put off an odor. They grow all along the fences and in the ditches and everyplace not under cultivation.
