What a blessing, golden locks!

What a blessing, golden locks!
A treasured wonder any way you see it
Hung upside down symmetrically perfect
Or viewed by those admirers a few steps behind

Mind-boggling to those unaccustomed
To think it was detested outright
By those who had not the patience
to accord loving care deserving

Yes, a passion deep down
Meticulously nurtured
A slight purring strangely felt
Every time the comb found it
unruffled to immediately
extend its attention

It was not even insured!

  1. A great hair is a wonderful gift, how can you ever insure it?

  8. I remember when I had hair down to my waist. I spent hours brushing it. I feel your admiration for the lady's well tended hair.

  9. Long hair is lovely, but a lot of work. I like you're last line, Hank.

  10. 'viewed by those admirers a few steps behind'... makes me think of all the times I have admired or marveled at long hair while walking behind. A nice homage.
