Wide expanse of this white sea

Looking out of the window
Wide expanse of this white sea
Smoothly blanketing the meadow
Had designs of a cross-country

But how he regretted it this day
If only he had been more careful
Jumping over the fence was child-play
But he didn't count on the handful

Of loose pebbles where he landed
Now his face all puffed and battered

lines on 'one this snow-flake' at Real Toads

  2. Entirely lost in lament here, Hank. That's the way these things happen.
On September, 2014' Mrs. Jim tripped her following foot climbing through a board fence. She fell onto a patch of asphalt and broke her hip. The repair was a hip joint replacement. Bummer.

  5. There certainly are dangers around Hank,
    Wonderfully portrayed in this poem.

  7. Have to look before you leap sometimes. One little mishap can be fatal.
