sitting in the shade

A dry spell is most telling
The sun's rays run smack onto the face
Beads of sweat slowly turn into streams
of rivulets down the cheeks

Make a bee-line for the trees in the park
Sunlight that filters through the leaves is
a komorebi blessing to the unaccustomed
now getting the best of both worlds
