life’s
journey carved
out of idealism
no preparations sought
mainly just
reflections

mental
picture discerned
construed for implementation
ideas to accord
reality of
purpose

brilliance
shoved its
head and plans
developed by consensus
with spouse’s
inputs

guided
by principles
that intruded out
of necessity through
the subconscious

grandiose project costs
could cause

  3. Beautiful form I shall have to try it. I worked in the architectural and building field but never thought it poetry material!

  7. The photo only highlights the emptiness of some of the things we strive for...and how empty they can make us feel - a thoughtful and thought provoking poem Hank

  10. This made me smile. I love the photo of your lounge and the description of decisions made "with spouse's input"......and not overrunning the finances (something I am always in danger of, LOL. I enjoyed this, Hank.

  11. I really enjoyed this form as you espoused thoughts from the profound to the practical.

  12. Solid poem with much to day that accentuates the staged perfection of the photo. So many live lives that are that empty perfection.

  14. Hank, this was interesting and each fit nicely together. I think the journey always has unexpected costs so one should weigh all options. Not everything is picture perfect.
