Shielded

Overcast clouds surged
slave to widening movements
to provide cover

Diffused heat enhanced
relief of those sheltered with
quivering delight

Gathered in radiance
repugnant of shimmering
feel of annoyance

Wretched the feel of
letdown of those entrusted
who failed the paltry

Written for Leo's Haiku Heights #210 with prompt - shimmer-

  1. first, very cool picture...what a turn in that last one as well...yes, it hurts when those entrusted fail us so....

  5. I like the way you treated this prompt: a kind of reversal.

  8. "failed the paltry"? But before I got stumped I enjoyed the cloud cover reducing the heat, limiting the exposure to sun or anyone.
