nary a moment true without their poems

the 11 of 12 given words:
walked shades together poems fruit wore
favorite listened wine before festival:

walked the shades shadowed together
nary a moment true without their poems
fruit of their labour tucked safely under
it wore on a favorite of their own intrusions

they listened amidst wine and festivities
a gathering of like-minded souls as before
tagging along also members of their family
making it a convention of sorts and more

independence of people, a festival of culture
a meeting of fertile minds bandied about
in a fighting atmosphere of friendly banter
progressive poets' outing with big shouts

MMT's Sunday's Whirligig #119
Susan's at PU's Midweek Motif  -  independence

  1. The friendly way can win the day. Nothing wrong with trying to outdo the other, as long as all kept in good fun. Like #1 lol

  2. A wonderful gathering: new poets and old, living and dead--and our families and friends. That's quite a crowd for independence! I love the title and the presence always of poetry written and unwritten.

  3. ..."progressive poets outing"... Sounds stimulating and great fun!

  4. It is always wonderful, when poets gather. Nice one, Hank!

  5. I have yet to try a gathering like this, just a writers club now and then. I think I am happier on the net!

  6. .,.and so it should be. A meaning message.

  7. Nice One! what a wonderful gathering with so many poets in a festival of culture

  8. That was a lovely gathering and fun time for poets.

  9. I love this part:

"a meeting of fertile minds bandied about
in a fighting atmosphere of friendly banter"

  10. "progressive poets' outing with big shouts" sounds like a delightful bunch and a place to be.

  11. a great gathering to be sure. Poets expressing now there's inspiration in every corner

  12. A gathering of poets, one big conversation! Back and forth they go, rhythm and rhymes, back and forth, no one lost for words.

  13. What a great celebration you have described!
