Melodious in a sweet flow of retreat

Melodious in a sweet flow of retreat
A mystical aptitude serene to the ears
Pristine in make-up tumultuously sweet
What of music wresting away the fears

Suffocating a vigor ambling on slowly
Surreptitiously but aiming at the jugular
Judicious incantations of rap but a folly
To profess good music similar in nature

Incumbent on the musicians not to falter
To vindicate swashbuckling antics shown
Not to malign what was pleasing to the ear
Standing ovation to rightly call one’s own

For Sanaa's Prompt Night's  -  such
passion music can raise and quell

  2. First of all I love your title. Music is my escape. I can get lost in it for hours. A beautiful statement of the hold music has on those who love it and perform it.

  4. Music opens such wondrous worlds... and states of being, too. It's one of the reasons why I can't write while listening to music. If I do, I end us losing my Muse to the music...

  7. You've created something that would make a lovely song in its own right. A really sweet ode to the power of music.

  8. Each stanza is a genius of its own. I absolutely loved these lines:

Suffocating a vigor ambling on slowly
Surreptitiously but aiming at the jugular
Judicious incantations of rap but a folly
To profess good music similar in nature

that's how your throat feels like when you are singing. It is just a great feeling that only those dedicated to singing and humming can understand. thanks for sharing.
