Fatigued through travels

Fatigued through travels
Monks came back to rest for lots
of meditation

Food in beggar's bowl
Left-overs for strays but lone
bird chirps wanting some

Karma rewards monk
Good health there for his bidding
The rich begs for same

  8. Hank, so glad to read this. "The rich beg for same..." Man, does that speak volumes. That little bird is in good company. Your perception of zen culture is what I think quite illuminating, reminds me of the REAL "gospel of abundance," which is not about money, but about giving what you have to others and trusting that the rest will come, even in a beggar's bowl. Thanks so much. Love, Ameleh

  9. Good health is a great equalizer - money does not always buy it and often it is more easily achieved with less. Lots of layers to this piece, Hank. Very thoughtful.
